Why care?

Lung cancer is the most common cancer worldwide.

It is the leading cancer killer among both men and women.

In 2012, it was responsible for 1.8 million new cases and 1.6 million dealths.

 

Each year, more men are diagnosed,

 

but more women live with lung cancer.

The incidence rate [number of new cases] for men has had a 28% decrease in the last 37 years.

The incidence rate [number of new cases] for women has had a 98% increase in the last 37 years.
